Our take on the 2014 Met Gala fashion: from whimsical to pastel we have a winner for each!
We couldn’t choose between Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurung or Charlize Theron in Dior - so it’s a tie! STUNNING Ladies!
Thought it was a littttttle basic, Emma Stone in Thakoon has a fab color combo…we are fans!
Suki Waterhouse looked absolutely beautiful in the nude and blush ruffle number by Burberry with the perfect up-do!
Toni Garrn wowed in this pale blue Topshop dress - and her hair and makeup are perfectly dramatic!
There were a few yellow numbers this year but Jourdan Dunn in Topshop was the only one that wasn’t a “lemon”…she looked perfect in this silhouette and color!
Naomi Watts in Givenchy Haute Couture - we can’t if it’s amazing or too much so we called it unique - the details and lavender ombre though are amazing!
Tabitha Simmons in her tulle Dolce & Gabbana is not best dressed but this is what we want to se - dresses we wouldn’t normally see at the met gala - even though she looks like a small floral shop, we love it.
It’s a TIE (get it)! We couldn’t pick between Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in Gucci or the obvious Johnny Depp in Ralph Lauren and Amber Heard in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. - so we gave it to them both!
Karolína Kurková in Marchesa was phenomenal - edgy, floral, out there - it was JUST what we like to see from the met ball…Bravo!
Mint, Azul, Ocean, Palm - these are all words that come to mind when thinking of our most recent current crushes. This week has been over the top hectic and calm crystal blue seas and palms waving in the wind have been the perfect mental escape.
With Shay’s birthday the last week and the Coachella crazy, below are a few things that have popped on our radar and made a home in our lives…check it:

It’s a jungle sometimes in the fashion world - so it’s key to keep it simple. You can’t go wrong with a LBD (little black dress) that has the perfect fit, form and is functional.
By adding the right accessories the LBD goes from drab to fab. Pair a chunky statement necklace with a chic clutch and a simple shoe. Sometimes less is more and in this case it only takes a few items to nail the perfect look.
