Book review: Lean In - Women, Work & the will to lead

I just finished reading our most recent Book Review recommendation, ‘Inferno’ by Dan Brown - ugh…what an amazing book…I honestly wish it never ended. Now I am on a serious reading kick and wanted to start another one ASAP.  After some research and asking my fellow “bookies” what they recommended, I happened upon 'Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to lead' by Sheryl Sandberg - my mom just finished it and was RAVING about it….I unfortunately was to engrossed in Inferno to care until now…

With women now being 50% of college graduates but men still holding the vast majority of leadership positions in government and industry, Sandberg examines why women’s progress in achieving leadership roles has stalled, explains the root causes, and offers compelling, commonsense solutions that can empower women to achieve their full potential. ‘Lean In’ digs deeper into these issues, combining personal anecdotes, hard data, and compelling research to cut through the layers of ambiguity and bias surrounding the lives and choices of working women.

For all of you future CEOs, Entreprenuers, Students and Intelligent young beauties out there this is a MUST READ!  Enjoy it by the pool this weekend or at your favorite beach…and don’t forget to let me know what you think!

Happy Reading my little book worms!
