Green Goddess Smoothie

We are definitely on a “Green Goddess” kick at Shay-casa…and this one is green, green, green!  Shay and I both wake up super early and have different, but CRAY schedules.  After watching the food docu ‘Hungry for Change’ (read our review here) - we have opened our minds to some new healthy habits and embraced them with open arms - even given they may sound odd, like bee pollen.  Below is our new go-to smoothie I whip us up to keep us healthy and nourished before we embark on our day!

What you will need (makes 2 servings):

  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • half a frozen banana
  • 2 cups of your fave green juice (we do a combo of celery, parsley, spinach, kale, romaine, apple, lemon & ginger)
  • 1 tbsp bee pollen
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (already soaked in water)
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp wheat grass powder



Put all of the items together in a blender and blend until smooth!!

This will make two servings so give the other half to a friend or family member!  I am telling you, this smoothie may not seem like a lot but bee pollen and chia have enough protein to keep you going until your next meal.  Everything in here is a superfood and UNREAL for your body, mind and soul!
